PURPOSE:To eliminate a lower side adjacent channel carrier sound signal from a detected output by applying A/D conversion to a signal through synchronism detection of a TV signal with the application of a coast loop and applying FM demodulation or the like to the lower side adjacent channel sound carrier in the output. CONSTITUTION:A TV signal from a signal amplifier 20 is fed to a video signal filter 30 via an A/D converter 29. An output of a band pass filter 33 having the center frequency of a converted lower side adjacent channel sound carrier frequency omega0 is demodulated by an FM demodulator 34. The demodulated signal is subject to FM modulation by using the frequency omega0 applied from a frequency detector 32 at an FM modulator 35 as a carrier frequency. The output of the FM modulator 35 is fed to a subtractor 37 together with a signal through a delay compensating device 36 and its output is extracted from a terminal 39 via a D/A converter 38 as a video signal.
