PURPOSE:To reduce photographic printing time to less than half of the time heretofore required and to reduce the number of memories of photographic printing informations broadly by providing a line shaped heat sensitive head for each color to which the head can respectively correspond and by simultaneously printing each of these colors with many of these heads. CONSTITUTION:First of all, recording paper 11 and magenta heat transfer paper 12 are sent to point 20. Since pulse voltage is simultaneously applied to resistors that are to color within one row of the resistors i.e. 3,360 resistors, the number of memories of informations to be printed is sufficient with 3,360. When sent to point 21 next, yellow heat transfer paper is sent and transferring is carried out. Since the distance between the two points 20, 21 of 53mm., the pulse width of 1ms, and photographic printing density in the subscanning direction of 15.4/mm. are established, a magenta printing of approximately 816 lines is carried out between points 20 and 21. Since a printing time for one line is established as 5ms, after approximately 4.08sec by giving of yellow printing informations overlapping becomes feasible. Similarly, cyan printing is carried out at the point 22. Thus, the tricolor printing is reduced less than one and a half times of monochrome and the number of memories is reduced to less than 25%. |
