PURPOSE:To make screw clamping performable without fail, by judging of whether it reaches the specified screw clamping torque or not with a claw clutch's on-off detecting device and a timer, while stopping a DC motor according to the judgment. CONSTITUTION:A timer, which operates after the elapse of the specified time from driving an electric motor 22 driving a driver bit 15, a disengagement detecting device, which operates upon detecting the disengagement of a claw clutch consisting of a fixed cam 24 setting its engagement free when reaching the specified clamping torque during a screw clamping process and a movable cam 31 both are installed in a control unit for an automatic screw clamping machine. In addition, this control unit is provided with a switching device, which continues to keep rotation of the electric motor 22 when this timer is unoperational even if the disengagement detecting device operates during the screw clamping process, and stops the motor 22 when the disengagement detecting device operates after the timer is set in motion. |
