The invention relates to a blowing air nozzle for cutting machines, especially for removal of chips at the transverse blade of three-way cutting machines. The blowing air nozzle according to the invention has, on the line of contact formed by the lateral surfaces of the conical body of the nozzle, a slot which extends over the full width of the transverse blade and is nozzle-shaped in cross-section and perforations which are continuously distributed over the lateral surface facing away from the transverse blades and which are also nozzle-shaped in cross-section. After every cutting process, the chips which are produced are now to be separated from the transverse blade in an optimum and eddy-free fashion by the blowing air emerging from the slot and are to be blown downwards from the conveying plane, without leaving a residue, by the blowing air emerging from the perforations. This complete removal of the chips ensures that material can be cut to exactly the right dimensions at every stroke, as no chips can become stuck between the material to be cut and the stop, which is not the case in machines of the prior art. <IMAGE>
