PURPOSE:To simplify the system configuration of an electro-photo transducer or the like in a terminal by separating partial functions of plural terminals and constituting them into a collective terminal provided in a transmission system line to multiplex and transmit signals of plural terminals. CONSTITUTION:Signals are taken into a collective terminal 3 through a directional coupler 2 from a coaxial cable 1 of the CATV transmission line and are transmitted to individual terminals 4 through an optical fiber transmission line 5. In this collective terminal 3, outputs of plural TV signal converters 10 are synthesized by a synthesizer 28 and are applied to a mixer 11. A connection unit 27 is provided between the collective terminal 3 and each terminal 4, and signals are transmitted through optical fibers between connection units 27 and the collective terminal 3. TV converters 10 output TV signals with frequencies different by terminal, and they are synthesized by the synthesizer 28, and signals for data communication have frequencies multiplexed with the output of the synthesizer 28 by the mixer 11, and the output of the mixer 11 is applied to an electro-photo transducer 12 and is transmitted optically.
