<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a transparent colored image superior in image quality, etc., and suitable for a color filter, etc., by exposing a specified PVA type random copolymer contg. photosensitive structural units and dyable structural units to insolubilize it in water, and dying it. CONSTITUTION:An objective transparent colored image is obtained by preparing a PVA type random copolymer contg. the following structural units (A) 0.2- 10mol% photosensitive units each represented by formula I in which X is pyridinium or quinolinium, (B) 1-10mol% dyable units represented by formula IIin which Y is a simple bond, and Z is a trialkylalkylammonium or pyridinium; and (C) 98.8-80mol% vinyl units represented by formula III in which R1 is acetyl or H; coating a support with this copolymer, patternwise exposing it to insolubilize it in water, and after development, immersing it into a dying bath to dye it.</p> |
