PURPOSE:To prevent a nozzle from being damaged by fusion even if burning operation is effected for a long period of time by constituting a nozzle tip of a fireproof metallic material. CONSTITUTION:The nozzle tip, faced toward the side of the vessel of fused metal in the nozzle for metal burner in which an oxidizing agent is fed to the fused metal, is constituted of the fireproof metal. A metal, provided with a high melting point and a large high-temperature strength generally such as the pure metal or the alloy of Nb, Ta, W, Mo or the like, for example, is preferable as the fireproof metal. Above all, the pure metal and alloy of Mo are prominent in an anti-corrosion property against fused metal and air, the high-temperature strength and workability and are light in the weight thereof, therefore, they are optimum as the material of the nozzle. In the metal burner 2, the oxidizing agent gas, injected out of the nozzle 1, reacts with the fused metal 3 and produces a flame 5. Accordingly, the flame 5 can not be separated from the nozzle 1 substantially and the tip end of the nozzle 1 is exposed to a high temperature locally. The damage of the nozzle 1 due to the fusion thereof may be minimized and the combustion may be effected for a long period of time by making the tip of the nozzle 1 by the fireproof metal, or, most preferably, by the alloy of molybdenum. |
