PURPOSE:To obtain a compact power transmitting device having a large reduction ratio, by providing respective sine-wave grooves on four discs and integrally forming the four discs with each other through rotary members. CONSTITUTION:Sine-wave grooves 9-12 having different wavelengths are provided on a flat surface 2 of a disc 1, flat surface 4 of a disc 3, flat surface 6 of a disc 5 and flat surface 8 of a disc 7, respectively. The flat surfaces 2 and 4 are opposed to each other through a rotary member 13 retained by the disc 5. The flat surfaces 6 and 8 are opposed to each other through a rotary member 15 retained by a retainer 14. The disc 1 is supported to the disc 3 by a bearing 16, while the disc 5 is supported to the disc 1 by a bearing 17. The retainer 14 is supported to the disc 7. When an input shaft is rotated, the disc 5 is rotated with the retainer 14 in the same direction through the rotary members 13 and 15, respectively thereby to rotate an output shaft 22. In the case that a large reduction ratio is to be obtained, the number of wave of the sine-wave grooves 10 and 12 on the discs 3 and 7 may be increased. |
