摘要 PURPOSE:To decrease the memory amount and to allow reading with high resolution at high speed by resolving reflective light on one scanning line to two polarized light by the second light-conduction system, and by introducing the two polarized light to the photoelectric conversion element array which is arranged in two rows. CONSTITUTION:Image sensor chips 11-12X(n) of a CCD, etc., are arranged in the zigzag state on parallel lines 20 and 21 which are separated from respective photoelectric conversion element arrays 21-22X(n) by a distance (d), and a light-conduction system 11 is provided between a base plate 5 and an original face 7. A light-contduction system 22 resolved a reflective light 25 from a scanning line 24 on the original face 7 to a normal beam 26 and an abnormal beam 27, and both beams are focused on respective arrays 21-22X(n) and 21-22X(n)-1 by the light-conduction system 11. An abnormal opitcal component 30 of a reflective light 29 and a normal optical component 333 of a reflective light 32 from straight lines 28 and 31 far from the scanning line 24 by the distance (d) are also image-formed on both element arrays respectively, here. However, an optical plate 23 shields the reflective beams 29 and 32, only the reflective light 25 reaches the arrays 21-22X(n), only the image of the scanning line 24 is formed on the array, and the above-mentioned picture signal from the chips 11-12X(n) can be obtained in time series.
