PURPOSE:To manufacture a sleeve roll for rolling an H-beam provided with an outer layer having superior resistance to wear, cracking and surface roughening as well as superior toughness and hardness by forming an outer layer of high- carbon adamite and an inner layer of a special cast steel as one body by centrifugal casting. CONSTITUTION:When a sleeve roll for rolling an H-beam used in a universal mill is manufactured, cast iron contg. 1.8-2.5% C, 0.2-1.0% Si, 0.5-1.5% Mn, <0.1% P, <0.1% Si, 0.5-3% Ni, 0.7-4% Cr and 0.3-1.5% Mo or further contg. <=0.2% one or more among Ti, Al and Zr is centrifugally cast by rotating a metallic mold 11 at a high speed to form an outer layer 6. An inner layer 7 is then formed by centrifugally casting a cast steel contg. 0.3-1% C, 0.2-1% Si, 0.2-1.5% Mn, <=0.1% P, <=0.1% S, 0.5-3% Ni, 0.5-2.5% Cr and 0.1-0.8% Mo or further contg. 0.1-0.8% Nb and/or <=0.2% one or more among Ti, Al and Zr.
