PURPOSE:To provide easier assembly, higher vibro-isolating ability, higher noise reducing ability and longer life in a compression type resilient wheel of railway vehicle by circumferentially dividing the tyre thereof into a plurality of parts and then joining them with each other, with friction members disposed therebetween. CONSTITUTION:On the rim part 3 of a wheel center 2 which is open at one side thereof and has a flange 3-1 formed at the other side thereof, tyre members 1-1 and 1-2 are disposed, a friction member 5 made of Teflon or the like is provided between the tyre members 1-1 and 1-2 and a resilient member 4 is put between the members and the rim part 3. A holding plate 3 is attached to the rim part and tightened thereto with a bolt 9 so as to secure the members 1-1 and 1-2 between the flange 3-1 and the plate. Consequently, the individual tyre members 1-1 and 1-2 can be subjected to dispersed loads and therefore move independently from each other. Since the surfaces of the tyre members each evenly contact the rail and when they roll thereon, uneven wear may be prevented to prolong the life of the tyre. |
