CONSTITUTION:The alumina particles N1-N3 as polishing particles are mixed and kneaded with thermoplastic resin or thermosetting resin as binder, and thinner as solvent, and the mixture is applied into a layer J having a certain thickness through the spin coating onto a disc-shaped substrate B, and then baked. After the baking is completed, flourine-series lubricating agent F is applied onto the upper surface of the resin layer J, and a polishing plate for polishing a testing head, etc. used for the endurance test for a magnetic disc is prepared. Therefore, when the above-described head, etc. is polished, the exposed part from the resin layer J of the alumina particles N1-N3 contacts with the uneven parts of the head, etc., and a smooth surface is obtained through grinding.
