PURPOSE:To form an improved pressure contacting force regulating cam by manufacturing an intermediate product consisting of a cylindrical part having small sectional area and a base body having large sectional area, and making the base body part an anvil action part and forming cam action faces on the end face of the cylindrical part. CONSTITUTION:The intermediate product 11 is formed of the cylindrical part 12 having small sectional area and the base body part 13 connected to the part 12. The cylindrical part 12 is cold pressed while making the base body part 13 of the intermediate product 11 an anvil action part, and a series of cam action faces 19 having shape corresponding to a male die of cold press side are formed on the end face of the cylindrical part 12. This forming can be effected making thrust necessary for making expected cam action faces 19 very small, and glassy faces that do not require finishing work can be obtained.
