A subminiature circuit breaker (1) is equipped with an arc fault auxiliary switch (67) actuated by the arc fault trip motor (61) through an indicator actuator (68) that also deploys a pop-up arc fault indicator. An additional auxiliary switch (71) actuated by the drive link (139) on the toggle mechanism (91) provides an indication of the open/closed state of the circuit breaker separable contacts (19). Both the arc fault auxiliary switch and the contact state auxiliary switch are mounted on the outside of the subminiature circuit breaker housing and are operated by an operating member (129) and a pivoted member (139), respectively, extending through openings (133,143) in the housing. <IMAGE>
