The invention relates to a double profiled leaktight joint made from elastic material for rendering leaktight the inner space between a glazing element and a profiled frame surrounding this element via its edges, which leaktight joint has a cross-section in the shape of a U, which is composed of a junction web and of two lateral branches, the latter each having a leaktight rib, with leaktight lips directed towards the element. According to the invention, the leaktight ribs 5 are connected to the ends of the lateral branches 4 connected to the junction web 3 of the two sides of the element 8 in an identical manner, as a mirror image, and thus the leaktight ribs 5 have, on the profiled frame side, a specific bearing lip 7 in order to rest on the free edges of the profiled frame 7.
