On one of the faces 5 of the opposite jaws 1, 4 of this press is mounted a combination of two welding electrodes 6, 7 which are spaced apart, parallel and permanently heated, and a separating thread 8 held at an equal distance from the two electrodes 6, 7 and heated by pulses only during the closing of the press.
