PURPOSE:To obtain a reproduced picture having a hue which corresponds accurately to the hue of a read picture, by arranging a film body having a neutral density corresponding to the color of a color separating filter on the color separating filter given to each picture element part of a light receiving part. CONSTITUTION:Illuminating light is irradiated from a light source 2 to a read original placing table glass 1 on which the read original is placed with the surface turned down, and the image of this original is formed in a photodetector part 5 through an optical system 4. The photodetector part 5 consists of an infrared light-reflective film 10, a glass plate 8, a film body 9 having a neutral density corresponding to the color of each filter 7 in the position corresponding to the filter 7, filtes 7 of C, Y, and W given in accordance with individual picture elements of a photosensor 6, and the photosensor 6. The neutral density of the film body 9 is determined on the basis of a ratio of the output of each picture element part corresponding to C, Y, or W which is obtained when a white picture is read.
