PURPOSE:To manufacture a multi-V-groove pulley of metal sheets without using any die, by pressing a flat sheet to form it as a cup-shaped inner ring, cutting off and rolling a band sheet which is already provided with carved V-grooves and is function as an outer ring, and coupling the outer ring to the inner ring. CONSTITUTION:To manufacture a multi-V-groove pulley, a flat sheet is first pressed to provide a cup-shaped inner ring 2. V-grooves are carved in tandem on the surface 1a of a rolled steel sheet 1a by circular cutters 3-5 having 3-6 V- shaped cutting peripheral portions. The sheet 1 is then annularly wound to provide an outer ring 6. The outer ring 6 is conjoined to the inner ring 2. Finally, the V-grooves of the pulley are finished by a roller 10. |
