METHOD FOR DETECTING CLOGGING OF POWDER BLOWING PIPE COMMUNICATING WITH TUYERE OR BLAST FURNACE

PURPOSE:To detect surely the clogging of a powder blowing pipe and to smoothen the blowing of powder into a blast furnace by attaching a fiber scope to a viewing window at the rear end of a blowpipe and by imaging the state of powder blown into the furnace through the blowing pipe. CONSTITUTION:A fiber scope 4 is attached to a viewing window 3 at the rear end of a blowpipe 1. The state of powder blown into a blast furnace together with blast gas through a powder blowing pipe 2 having an open end in the blowpipe 1 or a tuyere is imaged through the scope 4. The clogging of the pipe 2 is judged on the basis of the imaged state, and maintenance work is quickly carried out.
