The seal for the top ridge of a sloping roof is made from resilient plastics material and follows the shape of the inside of the curved ridge tile (5). It consists of inner and outer sealing strips (7,8) with ventilating holes (9) through them at the centre, and supported by radial plates (12) with strengthening ribs (14,15) below the region of the holes. The inner strip (7) rests on top of the beam (4) under the curved tile, and the outside lip (11) of the outer strip (8) rests on the sloping roof tiles. In line with the ventilating holes are sloping spacing and sealing ribs (13) projecting radially outwards. |
