PURPOSE:To work a reference hole with high efficiency and high accuracy and to improve the quality and yield of a printed circuit board by irradiating a base material with a laser beam through the pattern of the reference hole. CONSTITUTION:While succeeding conveyance of a printed circuit board 1 is checked by a light emitting element and a photodetector, a laser beam is introduced into a beam guide and laser light of an equal quantity is fed to nozzles 15a and 15b for the laser. The luminous flux conforming to the diameter of a reference hole 1a to be worked by the laser is irradiated onto the board 1. When the board 1 is fed to the position where the hole part 8 thereof faces the outlet part of the nozzles 15a, 15b having a notch 10, the hole 1a is worked and formed to profile with the hole part 8 in short time by the laser light past the pattern of the reference hole. The reference hole 1a is thus worked by the laser with high accuracy in the currect reference hole position. |
