PURPOSE:To eliminate the limit of data length which can be transferred by one channel command word, by designating a data pattern instead of data length when data transfer is commenced, and continuing the data transfer until the pattern coincides with transferred data. CONSTITUTION:A channel command word CCW which designates a data pattern is read out by means of a data transferring device and it is checked that whether or not the code is a data transfer command. When the code is a data transfer command, the data transfer is performed with the transfer data being checked whether or not they are equal to data designated by the data pattern designating section of the channel command word CCW and the transfer is terminated when they become equal. |
