PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having reduced phytotoxicity, by adding a polyoxyethylene alkyl phenyl ether etc. having a specific HLB value to an aqueous solution of a water-soluble ethylenebisdithiocarbamic acid salt. CONSTITUTION:The titled composition is produced by adding a nonionic surface active agent to an aqueous solution of a water-soluble ethylenebisdithiocarbamic acid salt of formula (M is alkali metal or ammonium). The amount of the nonionic surface active agent is 1-16wt% based on the compound of formula. The nonionic surface active agent is preferably polyoxyethylene alkyl phenyl ether or polyoxyethylene alkyl ether having an HLB value of >=1. The local concentration of the pesticide can be avoided in the present composition because of the lowering of the surface tension between the plant and the liquid, and accordingly, the phytotoxicity can be mitigated.
