PURPOSE:To realize highly accurate discharge machining by planting a reinforcing member immediately below a saddle guide rail along the rail thereby reducing the flexure of bed due to transfer of the center of gravity of saddle. CONSTITUTION:A saddle is mounted movably on the upper face of saddle guide rail 3 of machine bed 1. A reinforcing member 12 reaching to the bottom face of bed 1 is planted vertically in single sheet structure from immediately below the guide rail 3. Consequently, the rigidity of bed 1 is improved considerably while since the reinforcing member 12 is provided in single sheet member, the rigidity of bed 1 along the guide rail 3 will be uniform and since the saddle will move on the reinforcing member 12 at any time, the absolute level of the flexure of bed 1 due to the weight of saddle, table and work is reduced and transfer of the center of gravity on the saddle guide rail 3 will scarcelly cause variation of flexure of bed 1.
