<p>N-phosphono methyl glycines of formula (I), in which R and R1 are H, opt. substd. alkyl or opt. substd. aryl, are made by reacting alkali salts of tris (carboxymethyl) hexahydro s-triazine of formula (II) with phosphite esters of formula (III), in molar ratio 1:3, and acid hydrolysis. Reaction temp. is 60-120 deg. C.</p> |
