PURPOSE:To facilitate the attachment and detachment of an inspecting device and inspect a vertically set tube easily and speedily by elevating and lowering the inspecting device with a wire through a lock device which is moved and fixed to the upper part of the vertically set tube by a running device. CONSTITUTION:The vertically set tube 1 such as a reformer tube is stood between the ceiling 2 and bottom 3 of a furnace. The running truck 5 is set under the tube 1 and the lock device is pressed up and elevated almost to the ceiling 2. Then, the device 4 is locked to the tube 1 by its own locking mechanism and the truck 5 is lowered then detached. Then, a flaw detector 7 which is rotatable by double-cut mechanism and elevated and lowered freely in the lengthwise direction of the tube 1 is coupled and a movable truck 6 which is prevented by a cam using the elastic force of a spring from falling when the wire rope 8 is cut is set on the tube 1; and the device 7 is elevated and lowered together with the truck 6 with the wire rope 8 controlled through a winding device 10 and the device 4 to inspect the tube 1. Consequently, the attachment and detachment of the inspecting device are facilitated and the vertically set tube is inspected easily and speedily. |
