The present addition relates to male connectors for peripheral television devices, such as described in the first patent application, and more particularly to the base support made from insulating material, for the male contact elements disposed in an offset manner in two rows, which elements are used in this kind of connector. According to the invention, the height of the central wall 4 which separates the two rows of contact elements is slightly greater than that of the lateral flanks of the said support, so that, during the installation of the contact element 2 provided with a snap-fastening tongue 3, the latter is guided beforehand on one side only before insertion into its housing, the said preliminary guiding opposing the action of premature snap-fastening and thus enabling any risk of the contact element bending during its installation to be eliminated. <IMAGE>
