In the case of a confining fence with end posts (2) and, if appropriate, intermediate posts (4), to save weight and facilitate transport and assembly it is proposed to design the end posts (2) as double tubes which are slit over their entire length and, if appropriate, to design the intermediate posts (4) as tubes which are slit over their entire length, the lengths of fabric (1, 1') which are to be stretched out then being guided as a loop (15) into the tube interior, fixed by a holding bar (16). In this arrangement, by means of the double tubes as end posts (2), two lengths of fabric (1, 1') can be connected to each other as a continuous confining surface. The posts (2, 4) are held by means of at least one holding pin (5), adapted in diameter to the tube interior, of a bottom bearing (6) and stretched by pegs (7) and anchoring wires or cords. <IMAGE>
