Electro-hydraulic pressure control device for hydraulically operated brakes, especially for vehicles

A brake cylinder is connected to a pressure medium source and to the tank in each case by way of a pressure valve designed as seating valve. Both seating valves are normally in the closed position. Should a certain brake pressure be introduced, one seating valve is opened and the brake cylinder thereby connected to the pressure medium source. As soon as the required brake pressure is attained, the valve closes. Should the brake pressure be increased or reduced, one of the seating valves is in each case opened and the brake cylinder thereby connected either to the pressure medium source or to the tank. Any oil leakage loss is at the same time prevented and the efficiency improved. By means of an additional electrical control of the brake pressure, the accuracy, sensitivity and static and dynamic behaviour of the control are also improved. <IMAGE>
