PURPOSE:To stablilize picture quality and reduce the size of a device by feeding a constant current to a corona electrifier in main electrostatic charge operation and a constant voltage to the corona electrifier in transfer electrostatic charge operation. CONSTITUTION:A switch 12 is changed over to the side of a constant current source 10 in the main electrostatic charge operation to perform the main electrostatic charge by the corona electrifier 2 and then perform exposure by using an optical system 6. Then, a discharging lamp 7 does not operate with a switch 8 open, and then development is carried out by a developing device 9. The switch 12 is changed over to the side of a constant voltage source 11 in the transfer electostatic charge operation to perform transfer by a corona electrifier 21 firstly, and then image exposure is performed and the paper passes by the optical system 6; and the switch 8 is closed to put the destaticizing lamp 7 in light irradiating operation, and then the photosensitive body is cleaned by the developing device 9. |
