<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture a transparent and thick polyester board which is superior in shock resistance and heat resistance, by orientating and crystallizing laminated sheets while joining the spaces between the laminated sheets to be obtained by overlapping a plurality formless and transparent sheets. CONSTITUTION:Copolymer polyester is extruded through a flat die, received while sticking the same on a rotary cooling roll and made into a formless, orientationless, smooth and transparent sheet of 5.85mm. by applying calendering to the same. To heat and join two pieces of said sheets, after bonding surfaces of them have heated instantenously at a temperature of 95 deg.C, they are supplied to a pressure roll while heating up to a temperature of 80 deg.C respectively, laminated unitarily by rolling them so that a thickness ratio between thickness of them obtainable before and after the rolling of them becomes 3.90/1 and they are made into a transparent, glassy and boardlike body having thickness of 3.01mm. by orientating and crystallizing them. As the sheets are orientated, crystallized and laminated, there is no whitening phenomenon resulting from cooling cyrstallization. Lamination can be performed by making use of an adhesive agent.</p> |
