PURPOSE:To recover residual toner effeciently by conveying the residual toner which is accumulated with a cleaning blade to a developing device through an endless belt charge holding member. CONSTITUTION:When the cleaning blade 13 is brought into contact with the upper horizontal running surface 111 of a photosensitive body 11, the residual toner on the surface of the photosensitive body 11 after a transfer process is cleaned and accumulated at the contact part. Then, the cleaning blade 13 is separated from the horizontal running surface 111 of the photosensitive body 11. The accumulated toner is put on the horizontal running surface 111 of the photosensitive body 11 and carried to the developing device 17. When the toner reaches the part where the photosensitive body 11 changes its running direction along a roller 122, the accumulated toner falls from the photosensitive body 11 on the developing device 17 by gravitation and is collected in a housing by the sliding contact of the developing device 17. |
