PURPOSE:To prevent an engine from overheating in time of its stoppage, by installing a cooling water driving mechanism which operates when engine temperature goes beyond the setting value in time of engine stoppage, as well as installing a clutch mechanism in the said driving mechanism for cooling water out of an engine. CONSTITUTION:A cooling water pump 26 is coupled with an engine through a first transmission shaft 28, and a first one-way clutch 30 is additionaly installed in the point midway in the first transmission shaft 28. At the oppsite side of the cooling water pump 26, and electric motor 22 is coupled via a second transmission shaft 32, and a second one-way clutch 34 is additionally installed in the point midway in the second transmission shaft 32. In time of engine stoppage, when a second thermoswitch 20 operates and detects an overheating state of the engine, the motor 22 rotates via a relay 18 whereby the cooling water pump 26 is driven via the second one-way clutch 34. At this time, the first one-way clutch 30 comes to a drag in consequence. |
