PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of the mounting surface of a top card clothing of a top bar, by forming a resin layer of a given thickness between the mounting surface of the top card clothing of the top bar and a platen. CONSTITUTION:Plural holes 3 are formed on the card clothing mounting surface 2 of a top card clothing of a top bar body 1, and a release agent is applied to the mounting surface 2 to form a nonadhesive film 41. A release agent is applied onto a platen 5 to form a nonadhesive film 42, and a thermosetting resin in an amount sufficient to fill the space between the surface of the platen 5 and the mounting surface 2 of the top card clothing. A sliding surface 7 of the top bar body 1 is then placed on a block 6 from above and clamped. The resin between the mounting surface 2 of the top card clothing and the platen 5 is hardened at ordinary temperature, and a resin layer 10 of a given thickness in which the resin is filled in the holes 3 is formed.
