PURPOSE:To decrease increase rate of nitrate ion in a plate caused by continuous impregnation process by supplementing sodium hydroxide in a reduction process of impregnated active material to keepd the concentration of sodium hydroxide in a specified value or more. CONSTITUTION:An immersing process in which a substrate is immersed in molten nickel nitrate, a drying process in which the substrate is dried at 100-120 deg.C, and a reduction process in which the substrate is immersed in 20% sodium hydroxide solution at 80-85 deg.C to deposite active material are set up. A supplement process 4 is arranged to supply sodium hydroxide so that alkali concentration is kept to 5N or more. Then, the substrate is washed for 30min in a washing process 5. The substraste is returned to the immersing process 1. |
