PURPOSE:To raise the detection accuracy of focal distance of a zoom lens, and to make a device small in size by constituting the titled device to detect the focal distance of the zoom lens by detecting directly a position of an optical axis direction of a movable lens varying the focal distance. CONSTITUTION:When a zoom motor 18 is driven, a zoom ring 16 is turned through a zoom ring driving gear 19. A cam ring 34 is turned by a driving pin 37 for receiving the turning of this zoom ring 16, a variable power lens frame 29 and a correcting lens frame 30 move through cam grooves 35, 36 and moving pins 32, 33, and as a result, a focal distance is varied. In that case, its focal distance is detected by detecting a moving position of the variable power lens frame 29 by a focal distance information recording substrate 50 and a terminal 51. Also, focusing is executed by driving an auto focus motor 23 and turning a focusing ring 28. In such a way, the detection accuracy of the focal distance is improved, and also a device is miniaturized. |
