PURPOSE:To reduce the size of an inverter device by commonly using the positive and negative voltage power sources of the first and second power switching elements. CONSTITUTION:When an ON signal is received between a reference potential 17 and the signal input terminal 20 of the second base drive unit 11, the second power switching element 10 is turned ON. At this time, the first capacitor 21 is charged through the first diode 22 by the output of a positive voltage power source 12. Simultaneously, transistor 26, 27 are turned OFF in the third switching unit 25, the transistor 28 is turned ON, and the second capacitor 24 is charged by the output of a negative boltage power source 13. When the signal input terminal 20 of the second base drive unit 22 is varied to OFF signal, the second power switching element 10 becomes OFF, the third switching unit 25 is operated so that the transistors 26, 27 become ON and the transistor 28 becomes OFF, thereby stopping the discharge of the capacitors 21, 23. Accordingly, the first power switching element 6 is efficiently turned ON. |
