PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of double image disturbance by adding a luminance signal and another luminance signal given from a Y/C separator after multiplying them by a complementary coefficient in response to the movement of an image to send there added signals to a time axis compressor for luminance signal and at the same time transmitting the output of said compressor to a time axis compressor for color signal in accordance with the image movement. CONSTITUTION:Color signals CRL and CRF are applied to a switch 20 from a Y/C separator 3 and a switch 10 respectively. When an image is stationary or set in an intermediate state, the signal CRF is selected and sent to a time axis compressor 23 for color signal. Then the signal CRF is switched to the signal CRL when a detection output CC of a movement detector 8 is produced, and the signal CRL is sent to the compressor 23. At the same time, the luminance signals YRL and YRF are applied to a coefficient adder 21 from the separator 3 and a subtractor 19. Then signals YRL and YRF are added in the form of the complementary ratios in response to the detection output of a movement detector 17 showing the movements of coefficients KYC and 1-KYC. These added lumiance signals are sent to a time axis compressor 24 for luminance signal. |
