PURPOSE:To measure the characteristics of a TV device at a high speed, high accuracy and high flexibility by producing a timing signal to decide a point to be measured on an input video signal to be measured and measuring the characteristics of an optional point on the video signal in response to the timing signal. CONSTITUTION:The signal levels held by sample holding circuits 140 and 142 are digitized by A/D converters 144 and 146 by applying a proper sampling signal from a terminal 10. These digitized results are sent to a digital processing part and stored in the form of data for correction. A switch 16 is opened to cut off the correction signal, and a switch 12 or 14 is closed instead. Otherwise the video signal to be measured and applied to a terminal 2 or 4 is supplied. At the same time, a sample signal is applied to the terminal 10 to sample an optional point to be measured on the video signal to be measured. Thus it is possible to perform various types of measurement needed at an optional point on the video signal to be measured at a high speed and high accuracy. |
