PURPOSE:To store a large amount of picture data at a high speed by providing magnetic disk controllers corresponding to each disk devices and controlling these controllers with a master controller to make those disk devices peform parallel storing actions. CONSTITUTION:A master controller 3 shares properly the received picture data and transfers them to an input/output buffer of a magnetic disk controller 1-1 so that those picture data are transferred successively to input/output buffers of magnetic disk controllers 1-1-1-N. Then the picture data sent to the input/output buffer of the controller 1-N is shared and transferred to the input/output buffers of those controllers 1-1-1-N after it is transferred to the input/output buffer of the controller 1-1. While controllers 1-1-1-N send the picture data received from the controller 3 to magnetic disk devices 2-1-2-N for storage.
