PURPOSE:The titled lowly toxic composition excellent in adhesiveness and rust inhibition, prepared by adding a dehydrated phosphate to a composition containing an epoxy resin and a latent curing agent. CONSTITUTION:5-30wt% dehydrated phosphate (e.g., aluminum dihydrogentripolyphosphate) of a water content <=0.5wt% which has been dehydrated by heating at 150-200 deg.C for at least 30min is added to a composition prepared by mixing 100pts.wt. liquid, glycidyl ether-derived epoxy resin with 1-30pts.wt. latent curing agent (e.g., dicyandiamide). EFFECT:Foaming caused by the vaporization of water does not occur at a curing temperature of 130-200 deg.C, so that a cured product of excellent rust inhibition can be obtained. USE:Adhesive for steel sheets, paint, rust-inhibiting primer, etc.
