PURPOSE:To close automatically a slit of a front panel when a disk cassette is loaded by providing slidably a front shutter to the inner surface of the front panel and securing an interlocking action between the front shutter and a cassette holder. CONSTITUTION:In an action mode a disk cassette 4 is put into a cassette holder 48 through a slit 49 of a front panel 25 to push a cassette holder 48 toward a carrier motor 3. Then the cassette 4 is dropped toward a disk drive shaft 10 at the side of a base 1 from an extended surface of the slit 49 together with the holder 48. Then a front shutter 61 moves down together with the holder 48 in response to the movement of the holder 48. Thus the slit 49 is closed automatically. In such a way, a short-circuit fault caused by such a factor where a driver, etc. has a contact with a PC plate regardless of intention or accident is prevented previously.
