PURPOSE:To reduce the wear of a magnetic tape and a magnetic head and also to attain reproduction of pictures even in fast forward and rewind modes, by shifting the head in the radius direction of a rotary drum with an indication of an indication means and by means of a piezoelectric element to secure a contact between the head and the tape. CONSTITUTION:An end of a lamination type piezoelectric element 21 is welded to an upper drum 2 of a drum 1, and a magnetic head 5 is attached with protrusion to the other end of the element 21. The DC voltage is applied to the polarizing direction of the element 21 having thickness (t), and the displacement amount DELTAt is proportional to the applied voltage. Therefore the element 21 can be protruded in the radius direction of the drum 1. When the picture reproduction is indicated together with the fast forward and the rewind from an indication means, the element 21 is actuated to secure a contact between the head 5 and a magnetic tape. While this connection is not secured when no reproduction of pictures is indicated. Thus the wear is reduced for the tape and the head. Then the fast forward and rewind positions can be confirmed in pictures. |
