Process for detecting the desired braking moment for the different wheels of a vehicle, wherein there are used signals depending on the wheel speeds WRi and the vehicle speed VF. The signals from which may be derived the desired braking moments are obtained by passing the signals corresponding to the wheel speeds and to the vehicle speed through a Kalman filter having a special configuration.
