PURPOSE:To shorten the preparation time by inserting/fixing the work holder body into a tapered positioning referential hole made in the center of spindle. CONSTITUTION:It is comprised of a work holder body 111 having a tapered tube, a plurality of balls 220 advancable/retreatable radially around the tubular section 219 to be fitted with the end section of cone shaft coupled with an arbor 114 while being integrated at the end of piston shaft 215 mounted around a spindle 212 while facing with the arbor 114 penetrating in the center to open/ close the sleeve and an enlarged section 116a at the end of cone shaft 116. At the re-projecting position of piston shaft 215, each ball 220 is enlarged radially to insert the enlarged section 116a of cone shaft 116 retreatably into the tubular section 219 while at the retreating position of piston shaft 215, each ball 220 is reduced to couple between the enlarged section 116a and tubular section 219. With such arrangement, preparetion time of tooling can be shortened.
