PURPOSE:To make possible the quantitative determination of the antigen or antibody in a sample without receiving the influence of the various components in the sample by using a long wavelength labeling material which can take the signal of the labeling material by the luminous flux contg. light of the wavelength longer than 550nm. CONSTITUTION:The long wavelength labeling material is used in order to discriminate the signal of the fluorescence or phosphor, etc. emitted by the extraneous material in the sample and the signal by the labeling material. There are a fluorescence material, phosphor material, enzyme, chelate material, etc. as the labeling material but the labeling material is not limited to the above-mentioned materials as far as said material can detect optically the mass quantity. The labeling material of which the signal is taken out by the luminous flux contg. the light having the wavelength longer than 550nm is used for the above-mentioned labeling material. The signal of the labeling material corresponding to the quantity of the antigen or antibody incorporated into the sample is obtd. at the above-mentioned signal acquiring wavelength of the labeling material as the signals of the various signal disturbing components contained in the patient's sample are small as negligible. The quantitative determination of the antigen or antibody in the sample with good accuracy in accordance with such signal quantity is thus made possible.
