DEVICE FOR CHARGING BILLET INTO HEATING FURNACE

PURPOSE:To dispose billets in good order in parallel at specified intervals in a heating furnace by disposing plural stoppers on the same axial line along a roller table on one end side of the roller table and correcting the attitude of the billets by means of these stoppers. CONSTITUTION:A billet 6 is transferred by the revolution of rollers 3 to the prescribed position on a roller table 2. An oscillating device 16 is operated and a rotating lever 23 is turned counterclockwise. The front end of a ram 8 is raised by rollers 24 and the ram is rotated clockwise around a pinion gear 11 by which the billet 6 is supported by the front end of the ram 8 and is lifted from a roller table 2. The ram 8 is then retreated via a rack gear 9 by the rotation of the gear 11. The side edge of the billet 6 on the opposite side of a heating furnace 1 contacts consequently with plural stoppers 25 so that the attitude thereof is corrected to the state parallel with the table 2. The gear 11 is rotated in this state to advance the ram 8 and to feed the billet 6 into the furnace 1.
