PURPOSE:To improve the reliability by enabling to axially move one of covers at the end for coating the stator of a canned motor without losing a waterproof structure, thereby independently contacting the end cover with the bonded portion of the inside cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The end of a can which coats the molding resin 8 of a stator is divided into covers 5c, 5d, which are connected by a thin plate 23 of a stainless steel. The plate 23 is slackened to be movable axially between the covers 5c and 5d, connected over the entire periphery as a waterproof structure. The cover 5d is tapered, and contacted by a nut 21 with the tapered portion of the inside cylinder 4. Thus, the stator of the canned motor of the waterproof structure can be readily manufactured.
