<p>PURPOSE:To increase the rate of proliferation of cells, and to enable the mass- culture of the cell, by applying electric pulses to the cell under cultivation, thereby promoting the proliferation of the cell. CONSTITUTION:The AC pulse generated by the function generator 6 is amplified with the amplifier 7, and applied to the electrodes 3 and 5 via the scanner 9 at definite pulse width and interval. The electric pulse transmitted from the electrodes 3, 5 stimulates the cell in a liquid medium and promotes the proliferation of the cell. The cell may be animal cell or vegetable cell, and may be suspended cell or adherent cell. The proliferation rate of the cell can be increased by 20- 30%.</p> |
