PURPOSE:To make it possible to efficiently transmit power in a pull-type system, by indiscretely arranging V-shape blocks on a belt member composed of wires, V-shape blocks being formed such that slips between the blocks and the wires are prevented. CONSTITUTION:A V-shape belt is formed such that a plurality of V-like blocks made of steels or the like and having inclined surfaces 9a on both lateral sides thereof, are indiscretely arranged on an endless belt member 8 composed of wires 8b made of metals or the like. Each block 9 is formed therein with through-holes 10 through which the wires 8a pass, and slits 11 extending from the top surface of the block 9 to the through-hole 10. Due to the provision of the slits 11 the clamping force which is effected when the blocks 9 are engaged in a V-grooved pulley 2 may be effectively used to clamp the wires 8a, and therefore slips between the blocks 9 and the wires 8a may be prevented, thereby pull-type power transmission may be realized with a high degree of accuracy.
